If we buy it, they will come! We purchased our first house many years ago with the intention of drawing everyone in our big, modern family together. And so they did, and do! Our children & grandchildren, sisters & brothers, parents, friends and friends-of-friends… you need a Venn Diagram, family tree, and a few high school yearbooks to properly explain all the wonderful connections.

We started with the purchase of our classic 1905 “grand dame,” steeped in Lake Placid Olympic history and conveniently located a half block off Main Street. Aptly named Mirror Lake Manor or The Olympic House,  it is three floors of meandering rooms connected by a formal staircase, filled with beautiful, dark wood, and fully furnished in the spirit of the Manor’s magnificence. The recently-restored front veranda overlooking Main Street, Mirror Lake, and the mountains is incomparable.

Immediately following, was the purchase of the elegant and sprawling Casa Blanca, where mountain views are breath taking and the cool breeze carries laughter from one wing of the house to the other. It was love at first sight and Casa Blanca became our family compound where the chef’s kitchen is filled with food, kids, cooking and lots and lots of eating. The hot tub never stays empty for long, and like out of a movie, baseball games get serious on the front lawn. Lively conversations take place nightly around the bonfire under the clear Adirondack starlit sky. We continued to enjoy all the activities, events, shops and restaurants in and around Lake Placid, but sometimes we never left the house, content to sit, chat and relax.

The constant, though, was our continued interest in Lake Placid real estate, and the obsession fueled the creation of Lake Placid Vacation Rentals, now known as StayADK. We invite you to our home(s) to enjoy Lake Placid life and make memories!

Arrowhead Lodge is the epitome of Lake Placid perfect, through and through. Claus Family Lodge is our newest addition, steeped in Lake Placid legacy and North Pole magic. We named it Claus Family Lodge for a reason!

Last, but certainly not least, Ski Jump Chalet has it all. This pretty home is a minute (or less!) walk to town and sits nestled among evergreens showcasing postcard views of Mirror Lake. The pictures speak for themselves! Ski Jump Chalet may have inspired not one, but two famous artists. Curious?… just ask!
